What is coaching?

Coaching is built on the philosophy that individuals and organizations bring unique skills and strengths into their environments. Often, these characteristics remained masked as the demands and pressures of day to day, life’s challenges and lack of perspective, which cloud and prevent insight and awareness from being a driving force of personal and global change.

Coaching focuses on constructing a partnership between client and coach that intuitively designs a framework for change and growth. Elements of the coaching foundation that are interchangeable for individuals, groups and organizations include: to examine specific goals, the importance of achieving goals, alignment of missions and values as well as producing sustainable and measurable long term success.

The partnership of the Coaching alliance creates an objective space to understand true potential, releasing energy that interferes with growth and discovering clarity, motivation and excellence with intention. Drawing on the doctrine of Positive Psychology, the principle that optimal functioning can lead to a thriving environment, allows Coaching to serve as a catalyst for individual and organizational evolution.

The Process

Coaching is a process that identifies goals, projected targets and uses a defined process to create improvements. Techniques often utilized in Coaching involve cognitive restructuring, establishing environmental resources and motivation to achieve desired goals. Coaching is a facilitator of learning and is successful in recognizing distractions, both internal and external that delay an individual or groups ability to create meaningful shifts.

Why Coaching Works

In the present climate, one of the key challenges is the ability to consciously synthesize information, distinguish maladaptive patterns and to discover ways to turn problems into opportunities.

Coaching helps bring awareness to certain skills and perspectives that can often be overlooked. It emphasizes that mindful attention to our thoughts, beliefs and behaviors lead to increased self confidence, desire to execute strategies and to take our conscious thought to higher levels of attainment. Coaching laser focuses on vision, interpretation, action plans and outcomes.
